A Promise of Love Forever

This weekend was one of the best weekends ever! It started off with my girlfriend, Amanda, and her family coming out to my house for the Red Wings game against the Blue Jackets. This was her first Red Wings game ever and I wanted to make it a very special one! They all got to my house at about 3:30. Her family and my family all got ready for the game and then we left at about 4:30. We went to go to Hockey Town Cafe before the hockey game which is a great place to go because there are a lot of cool photos and other things all over the place. While we were waiting for our food to come I pulled out a ring box and told Amanda that I had one more present for Valentines day; A promise ring! While her mom was recording the whole thing, I told her how much I love her and how I promise to always stay true to her, because she is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and then put it on her finger. She was really shocked and so excited and happy, it was great! I think we all had tears in our eyes. After dinner, we went off to the game which was also amazing because Amanda and I were 3 rows from the glass and it was her first Red Wings game ever! It was so much fun even though the Wings lost, and Amanda had a great time and that is what really counted! Amanda and her brother came back to my house where we were all so tired, we went to bed. That wasn't the end of all the romantic and fun surprizes, on Saturday I had a really nice day planned for the two of us! On Saturday we got up and got ready to go shopping at the outlet mall for a few hours. that was a lot of fun because I got to spoil her a lot all day long! After shopping we came back and we got dressed up to go out to this really fancy resturant called Andiamos. We had a great romantic time there but that wasn't it! After dinner, we went to the moives to go see Definantly Maybe which was at 9:20 so we had some time to go to Meijers and screw around inside for a little bit. We got back and watched the movie which was really good, but you had to pay attention to it to get it. After the movies we went home and were so tired from being out so late, we went to bed. On Sunday Amanda and her brother had to leave to go back home so I drove them half way to meet up with her mom. It is always so hard and sad to say goodbye, but I know in a week or two, I am going to go out there and visit for the weekend. This weekend was so great and I wanted to make it the best and romantic weekend and Valentines for my girlfriend! I love you so much Amanda, with all my heart and soul!

I like your blog Matt. I am glad that you are excited and it was fun watching your little nervous self when you gave Amanda the ring.
